Hi ! As a total war noob I started a campagin in easy mode with malekith. After 100 turn to get a grip on the game I started it again in hard. Turn 30 I was facing 6-7 norsca army rolling over my friendly neighbour. Didn't even tried to get further and started back in normal. Right now I'm turn 30, it's not so bad but the game is really painful

About to start a Dark Elf campaign (Vortex), but having trouble picking a leader. I haven't played as Dark Elves yet, so was wondering if someone could help me decide. Here's the dilemma im having. Malekith - Probably a good start to be him first, being the race leader. BUT his campaign mechanics seem lackluster to me i.e xp to other lords. And I would cut way back on shield wall/black guard, ignore the sword infantry, and have a line of spears/black guard to protect your double line of shards.
